Biographical Record

Analogue discipline on location

Jonas Lindqvist is a Stockholm-based photographer working across medium and large format negative. For fifteen years, his practice has surveyed architectural silence and human topography under available daylight.

Field and Darkroom

Methodology without haste

Every body of work begins with extended location scouting without camera equipment. Exposures rely strictly on unassisted dawn or dusk luminescence, recording subtle tonal transitions that digital sensors routinely clip or over-sharpen.

Negatives are developed by hand in small chemical runs before master printing on fiber-base silver gelatin paper. Each portfolio is sequenced as an uninterrupted physical monograph before entering museum or private collections.
